Books on the Shelf
Books on the Shelf is a GoE Project to catalog the books, magazines, newspapers, et cetera, that PiGers have assiduously assembled for over half a century.
phase 1: scan the Books on the Shelf in sections and create a basic list with a brief synopsis & reference links for each on this page
phase 2: use OCR to scan and extract the txt list of titles from each Books on the Shelf image
phase 3: build a Content Management System (CMS); import the txt lists of titles; enter info from phase 1
phase 4: build an engaging 'book lover' community for GoE Members to share ideas, thoughts & comments about a specific book. A discussion forum will offer the opportunity for members to engage in interactive discussion about their favorite subject matter(s).
